(Image to be added)Personal Information Section
Start with the basics. Navigate to Profile → Edit Profile from the main menu.
Required Fields:
- 1.Profile Photo:
Upload a professional headshot (JPG or PNG, max 2MB). Make sure your face is clearly visible, good lighting, neutral background. Profiles with photos get 5x more views.
- 2.Full Name:
Use your legal name as it appears on official documents. This will be on your internship certificate.
- 3.Email & Phone:
Keep these updated. Employers contact you via email, and SMS notifications are sent for urgent updates. Include country code for phone (e.g., +237 for Cameroon).

City and country. This helps match you with local opportunities and shows employers if you're nearby or willing to relocate.

Uploading & Managing Your CV
Your CV/Resume is the most important document in your application. InternGlobe uses AI to extract key information from your CV to auto-fill your profile and match you with relevant opportunities.

(Image to be added)Step-by-Step CV Upload Process
Prepare Your CV
- • Format: PDF only (max file size: 5MB)
- • Use a standard, readable font (Arial, Calibri, Times New Roman)
- • Avoid complex graphics, tables, or fancy designs (AI can't read them well)
- • Include clear section headings: Education, Experience, Skills
- • Make sure all text is selectable (not a scanned image)
Upload the File
- • Go to Profile → CV/Resume
- • Click "Upload CV" button
- • Select your PDF file from your computer
- • Wait for the upload progress bar to complete (usually 5-10 seconds)
AI Extraction
Our AI will automatically:
- • Extract your education history
- • Identify technical and soft skills
- • Pull out work experience and internships
- • Detect certifications and awards
- • Generate a professional summary
Review & Confirm
You'll see a preview of extracted data. Carefully review:
- • Check that dates are correct
- • Verify skills are accurate
- • Edit any misread information
- • Add missing skills manually if AI missed them
- • Click "Confirm & Save" when satisfied
- Scanned Image PDFs: AI can't read text from images. Use a Word/Google Docs export.
- Complex Layouts: Two-column designs or heavy graphics confuse the AI.
- Non-Standard Section Names: Use "Experience" not "My Journey" for better extraction.
- File Too Large: Compress your PDF if over 5MB - use online tools like SmallPDF.

Internship Validation Process
One of InternGlobe's unique features is the internship validation system. This ensures:
- Your university gets proof of your completed internship
- Employers can't falsely claim they hired you (for earnings)
- You receive proper documentation for academic credit
- Both parties agree on start and end dates
The Validation Workflow
Start Date Confirmation
When: On your first day of internship
You do: Go to the application → Click "Confirm Start Date" → Enter the actual date you started
Supervisor does: Receives notification to validate the same date
Result: When both confirm matching dates, the internship is officially started
End Date Confirmation
When: On your last day of internship
You do: Click "Confirm End Date" → Enter your final working day
Supervisor does: Validates the end date
Result: Internship marked as completed. Certificate generated automatically.
If you and your supervisor enter different dates (e.g., you say you started March 1st, but they say March 5th), the system flags this as a date conflict.
InternGlobe support will contact both parties to clarify. You may need to provide evidence like:
- • Email confirmation of start date
- • Signed internship agreement
- • Timesheets or attendance records
The correct date will be determined fairly, and the internship will be validated accordingly.
Your Internship Certificate
Once your internship is fully validated (both start and end dates confirmed), you'll receive:
- Digital Certificate: PDF document with InternGlobe seal
- Contains: Company name, your role, start/end dates, total duration
- Verification Code: Unique code universities can use to verify authenticity
- Download: Available instantly in your profile under "Certificates"
- Share: Can be shared on LinkedIn or sent to your university

Tips for Internship Success
Based on data from thousands of successful InternGlobe placements, here are the top strategies:
Apply Early & Often
Apply within the first 48 hours of a posting. Aim for 15-20 applications per week. Don't wait for the "perfect" match - you can learn and grow in many roles.
Complete Your Profile to 100%
Profiles with photos, skills, and uploaded CVs get 5x more employer views. Spend 30 minutes making yours perfect.
Customize Each Application
Don't use generic cover letters. Mention the company name and explain why you're excited about this specific role. Takes 3 extra minutes but doubles your response rate.
Follow Up Professionally
If you haven't heard back in 5-7 days, send a polite follow-up message through the platform. Shows initiative and keeps you top-of-mind.
Prepare for Video Interviews
Test your tech setup beforehand. Dress professionally even on video. Have your CV visible for reference. Look at the camera, not the screen, to maintain "eye contact".
Keep Learning
Add new skills every month. Take online courses (Coursera, Udemy) during your search. Update your profile to show continuous growth.
"I applied to 12 internships in my first week on InternGlobe. By customizing each cover letter and keeping my profile updated, I got 4 interview invitations in 10 days. I'm now interning at my dream company! The video interview feature made it so easy - no awkward Zoom links."
